This will be short but not very sweet. Time is running out on our way to this election. I know that many of you are very involved already, so please don’t offended by these opportunities!
Block Captains - Every Precinct Committeeman/woman (PC) would love to have help distributing literature. If you could only do your street and get to know your neighbors, it would be a huge help. In Precinct 2009, we have 507 households with Republican voters to be visited. We visited all the houses twice in the Primary!
Committeeman Alternates - Every PC should have an Alternate. Alternates attend the County and/or District Central Committee meetings. Alternates are voting members at both meetings, if the PC is absent. If you are interested in serving as my Alternate, you can email me at craigc4pc@pm.me or call at 208-871-2636 and learn more about the position and your interest.
Meet and Greets for Candidates - Would you open up your home for an hour to hour and a half for a candidate to meet you and your neighbors? These a very informative if you want to know more about a candidate or have your neighbors know more. They are the very best way to get your questions answered in-person.
Poll Workers - Ada County needs poll workers for the up coming election (and every election). First it is a very long day - about 14 hours from setup to closing the polls. Workers get $150 for the day and more for the Assistant Chief Judge and Chief Judge roles. If you really want to know how your elections are run in Ada County, this is the best way to learn. Every new person attends a training at the Ada County Elections Office on Benjamin. I got assigned to Precinct 1501 for this election and would love company if you are interested!
Proposition 1 - The Republican party’s position Nationally, State Level and in Ada County is to vote NO on PROP 1 !! There are more resources to share with you (this is the short version) but Secure Idaho Elections is a great place to start. They have a great and short video about 2/3’s down the website. Look for this picture.
If PROP 1 passes, we will lose our own Republican Primary AND we will get RANKED CHOICE VOTING in our General elections. It is the end of “One Person One Vote” which has served our Republic for almost 250 years.
Agreed, well said.
