Precinct Committeemen and Committeewoman (PCs) are elected every two years. In Idaho, this only happens during the May Primary Elections in even numbered years. The Primary is May 21, 2024 and absentee, early and election day voting are all supported. It is very important you vote as PCs are your elected representative to the Ada County Republican Central Committee (ACRCC).
The ACRCC consists of 197 PCs and the Executive Board. Together they determine the policies and procedures for the Republican Party in Ada County. They also play an important role in selecting replacements when Republican held county offices are vacated. Your vote also impacts the Idaho State Republican Party too!
The ACRCC selects delegates to go to the State Convention shortly after the May Primaries. These delegates from around the state determine the members of the GOP State Central Committee (GSCC). And the elected State Chair, State Committeeman and State Committeewoman are voting members in the Republican National Committee (RNC). Ultimately, your vote for a PC is the real grass roots of the Republican Party.
Who am I and why should you care…
I retired from a career that revolved around forest management and planning across the US and Canada. I have lived in Boise since 1988. I worked 18 years with Boise Cascade Corporation’s Timberlands Division. My last 14 years at BCC, I was serving as a department manager. After BCC sold off the company, I spent another 11 years running my own consulting firm.
I have been volunteering with the ACRCC for the last 3 1/2 years. My wife and I have walked for Republican Candidates in our District 20 but also in Districts 15, 16 and 19. We have supported candidates for Municipal, County and Legislative offices.
I had the privilege to serve as Captain for the Republican Presidential Caucus in District 20. We had 85 fantastic volunteers and almost 1,100 District 20 Republicans attending at Capital Church. It was fun to meet so many of our neighbors. Most of those attending said the Caucus was more enjoyable than regular voting.
Last year, the PC in 2009 resigned. My bride had served as his alternate for two years and was installed as our Precinct Committeewoman in January. She is doing a great job but lacks the ability to campaign at this time. I am happy to step up to the plate for my better-half. I will be campaigning throughout Precinct 2009. I look forward to meeting everyone!
As your elected Precinct Committeeman, I stand by the following:
You are my customers and I expect to provide you with great service. I will immediately select an alternate to so that you don’t miss a thing when we visit our kids and grandkids.

I will be available to come to any neighborhood meetings and bring you information about the Republican Party, volunteering and legislation.
I will provide you with a monthly summary for each ACRCC meeting and for the State Convention and the State Summer and Winter meetings. These will all be posted here on Substack.

I look at this as a privilege to serve my neighbors in Precinct 2009. I hope that I get to meet many of you. If I missed you while door knocking, please contact me and I will come back.

I've not been this bold about endorsing specific candidates publicly, but this election is just so important to our community! If you haven't done your due diligence in determining who you are going to vote for on May 21st, please consider these good people.
Craig Campbell, a great friend and neighbor, is running for precinct Committeeman. He is an extraordinary and exemplary leader - call me if you would like my first hand account of what I have seen this good, faithful man accomplish! And please vote for Josh Keyser for Idaho Senate/ District 20. He is the quality patriot, servant, and faithful family man we need representing our District. Best wishes to these good men! I'll be voting for you!
